Jemima Simpson Owner and Company Director
Jemima started in the industry as an educator and has a real passion for early childhood learning and development. She has taught children for the last 18 years and believes that the best part of her job is forming solid relationships with the children and their families in her care, enabling her to provide the highest level of care and education to the children. She is passionate about teaching children from their point of interest and catering for each child at their level of ability in the educational setting. Jemima feels it is important to listen to the children’s voices and further promote all areas of their development, following their interests. Jemima knows that children learn through play and their interests and, by providing them with the correct resources to extend these interests, their learning and development can be scaffolded. Having been a full time working mum for the majority of her parenting journey, Jemima feels strongly about providing a caring ‘home away from home’ for children in a daycare setting. Children need to feel safe, loved and cared for at all times and it is her aim to see that this is always the case for all children attending Teddy Bear Corner.
